About us

Mission

Monad Media started as a response to a complaint we kept getting from family and friends about their websites... "I spent a lot of money for an agency to build me a beautiful site, but why is it so slow!" Check out our FAQs for info on why beyond just being frustrating, website performance has a huge impact on your bottom line. So we made that our mission:

Use our skills and the most advanced tools on the market to make the best dang websites out there so that people actually get what they pay for.

As we've grown, we've learned new skills and now offer some additional services well suited to startups and small-to-medium businesses: custom software development, cloud, and business tools consulting.

We now provide a full-suite of services to help you take your organizations digital game to the next level.

Values

As part of our mantra to "serve the client", we've distilled our core values into 3 words that apply to our relationships with our customers and our employees:

  1. Responsible: Unless the sky falls down (and if it does, communicate it ASAP), if you say you're going to do something, do it.
  2. Respectful: Treat others the way you want to be treated, simple as that.
  3. Curious: Is there a better way to be doing things? Keep applying new skills and tools to continuously improve our results.

Our Team

Alex

Founder and Lead Developer

Alex started Monad Media with the desire to do things better. He fell in love with building things at a young age, so it only made sense to wind up getting a bachelor's degree in computer science so that he could turn keystrokes into art (yes, he considers fast and beautiful software art!) He's also currently pursuing his master's degree as he has an insatiable urge to continue getting better at what he does. When not helping clients with their tech needs, he's making other stuff like beer, houses, and travel plans.

Mac

Chief Morale Officer

Mac makes sure Alex gets outside to play. His favourite things are fetch, doing somersaults, and tug-of-war. When not participating in meetings, Mac like to doze in the sun. He also likes to stare into the depths of your soul when he wants to tell you something, usually about wanting to get into your lap.
